This is an iridium nugget, accompanied by four other elements, Chromium, Zirconium, Titanium, and Iron. Fe/ being the most abundant of the four. This specimen was assayed with a VANTA-xr Xray spectrometer testing machine the exact composition is nearly identical to the main specimens picture on this site only difference is this one has 0.221% of Cr/ as an extra element present that the other does not. This monster nugget is natural terrestrial iron, weighing in at 68 pounds. I brought it to the museum of man and nature thinking it was a meteorite, and got an assay done the results were; native terrestrial iron and I should insure it for around $5000 he told me. Due to the fact that natural iron found in a nugget form meaning (found as a solid metal a nugget, not in rocks that were mined and have to be crushed up then extracted by smelting and/or chemical processing) is extremely rare more so than most meteorites found. Other accompanying trace elements are Iridium, cobalt, nickel and manganese. Yes IRIDIUM is present in this nugget!
